Chief Engineer

Job Details

The Chief Engineer is the head of the Engine Department and reports directly to the Master. This role oversees the safe operation, maintenance, and reliability of all engineering systems onboard while leading the engineering team and ensuring compliance with company policies and international maritime regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency.
  • Valid STCW certification and required Flag State endorsements.
  • Extensive experience in marine engineering and machinery maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of PMS, bunkering procedures, and engineering operations.
  • Thorough understanding of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and MLC 2006.
  • Strong leadership and technical troubleshooting skills.
